Dinner and a
Concert with Karen!
Karen ~ Lisa and I have chatted for more than a year. When
time and circumstance met up with opportunity, we agreed to meet in the
anonymity of a large hotel lobby. Because she did not have the
luxury of vacation time, our visits were limited to the evening hours.
We talked, we walked, attended an outdoor concert, which was quite fun.
We were sitting on a four-person bench when two ladies came by and sat
with us. Lisa whispered to me it was just four ladies enjoying the
concert, which was true in a manner of speaking, but those were real
women, and we were wanna bees.
I have not met other t-girls, but Lisa is a very feminine lady.
Like a lot of women when she talks, her hands and fingers join in the
conversation. She moves like a dancer, smooth and gliding. She has
learned a trick that others would be wise to follow. She wears her
wig in an up-back "do". People do not think a
would wear a wig and tie it up in back. She is very real in her feminine
persona, and I would bet she has never been read, partially because of
her hair style. She fits in with other women not flashing big hair
which would be a real give away as to her real gender.
Before the concert we had dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant and enjoyed
an hour or so of philosophy and discussions on femininity.
The next night we went shopping and grabbed a quick sandwich. The
weather was warm and we ate outside. Each event in both evenings was
supplanted with a maximum use of her iPhone documenting everything
complete with dialog explaining what was happening. In addition to being
a nice person, she is a very feminine lady in every sense of the word.
It was difficult to think of her as anything but a woman. My only regret
was that the time spent together was way too short, but we made the most
of the time we did have and enjoyed each others' company.
By Lisa ~ Isn't Karen such a cutie?! As she pointed out, we began
corresponding with each other about a year ago, and we clicked right
away with our love of the Ann Taylor line of clothing. I dare say that
Karen has the most extensive wardrobe of Ann Taylor of any transgender
girl out there, and while I have a few things in my collection, they all
the thrift store. ; )
Anyway, when I told Karen that I was having a few weeks of girl time in
the summer, she asked if she could come and visit me. For her to
travel to see me meant nearly two full days of driving in the car, but
if she was willing to come that far, I was certainly willing to free up
a few evenings to meet with her.
I actually had a different friend propose a similar outing where she
would fly in to meet me, and so I began looking at the calendar and
finding some fun things we could do. I decided that it would be fun to
have dinner downtown and then attend an outdoor concert, and while my
friend's plans fell through at the last minute, I still wanted to give
that same plan a try with Karen, and so that's what we did tonight!
