Shopping En Femme for Feminine Hygiene

A few weeks ago I wrote in my diary about little signs that pointed to my having more and more girl time. I specifically used the example of how my makeup started to run out before it could even go bad, which is something that I've never experienced. I also talked about how I was reasonably able to measure the number of girl days I've been able to have since last September by how many maxi pads were left in my original package of 44 purchased 11 months ago. Whenever I go out in public en femme, I always wear a pad to protect my panties, but I will also wear a pad when I just underdress because it just keeps things cleaner. Anyway, through some unscientific formula I was able to determine about 30 girl days the past 11 months and then more days for underdressing where I used an Always maxi pad. The bottom line is that I was quickly running out of pads, and so I decided tonight that I would pay a visit to Wal-Mart to replenish my supply of pads and also to browse around the store in general.

I couldn't get out of work unti late today, and I also had some things to take care of around the house, and so by the time I was ready to enjoy my girl time, it was close to 8 PM. I quickly hopped in the shower to wash away any guy grime that had accumulated from the day's work, and then I also needed to shave my legs and armpits. Today was a particularly hot day again, and so I decided that I would go out bare-legged wearing some strappy sandals. While I'm on the subject, even if we girls don't wear nylons directly after shaving our legs, there is still such a feminine sensation created by our skirts wisping back and forth across our smooth legs, and so I wanted to wear a silky skirt for tonight's outing just to remind myself with every step how wonderful it feels to be a girl and how neat it is to be out in public en femme. As a result, I chose to wear a floral skirt that I purchased at Old Navy several years ago that has a super silky texture and ends just above the knee. I paired that with a simple green cotton top from Old Navy as well, and I knew that I was going to wear my neon green sandals (I won't say where they're from ;-), and so I thought the green top and green in my sandals would be appropriate.

My toe nails were already painted from the previous day, and so I was able to get ready by about 8:20 PM. Since I was running late, I didn't make time to take extra pictures of my outfit, and so I grabbed my purse, camera, and cell phone and headed towards the door. As I drove down the hill from my house towards the Wal-Mart I couldn't help but to notice the pretty sunset, and I wondered how many guys actually stop to appreciate such simple beauties of nature because I know that I am always moved by the sky at dawn or during a pretty sunset. Anyway, the closest Wal-Mart is less than five minutes from my house, so I arrived in a jiff but did manage to take my usual pictures from the dashboard, one of which I'll post here.

I've shopped at Wal-Mart so many times en femme now that I don't bother strategically parking my car and just take the closest open space I can find. I've also said hello to the greeter so many times that I don't have to prepare for that either, so I strolled into the store without a care in the world and turned left towards the section with the feminine hygiene products, makeup, etc. Close to this area is the house wares section, and I like to stroll through that areas as well to see what kinds of mirrors they have on display. I'm not necessarily looking for a new mirror for my home, but I'm always on the lookout for a photo-op with my cell phone. ;-) I also think it's a good idea for girls like us to locate a mirror in any establishment just to check one's appearance in to see how we present in the store's lighting, to check our hair to see if anything is out of place, to check our posture, etc. I managed a few pics in the display of mirrors and then next headed to the makeup section.

Since my makeup is running out quickly, I wanted to begin shopping around for perhaps a different shade. I really like the L'Oreal foundation and powder that I'm currently using, but I think the shade is just a tad bit too warm, and so I spent about five minutes looking through the selections of foundation on display in preparation for my next makeup purchase. Besides foundation and powder, I also like to look through the palettes of eye shadow because most of them will have instructions on the back in regards to the best way to use the different colors in the shadow to create a smoky eye effect. Finally, I always like to review the different shades of lipstick and lip gloss. I don't just want to buy makeup items to buy them, but I really enjoy studying the different possibilities and planning for the future.
