Why My Bra and Panties
first thing I do when I have time to myself to be a girl is to change
into bra and panties. A silky pair of pantyhose usually isn't far
behind, but depending on the occasion, I'm not always able to wear
nylons. A perfect example is if I need to wear shorts for whatever
reason. Now, sometimes I will wear a nude shade of pantyhose beneath my
shorts when I'm forced to dress as a guy, but there are times when
wearing nylons wouldn't be appropriate. A perfect example would be if I
was going to play volleyball...which is exactly what happened today.
If you've followed my website for awhile, you'll know that I have very
sensitive skin, and so it's impossible for me to shave my face everyday.
I don't have a lot of facial hair, and it is blonde (except for those
darn gray hairs starting to creep in), so when I shave with a blade, it
usually gives me about 24 hours of crossdressing time. That means if I
time things right, I can get in outings on two consecutive days, but by
the third day, my face needs a rest, and so I'm not able to wear makeup.
It doesn't mean, however, that I still can't dress like a girl--at least
underneath, so that's exactly what I did today. Several months ago I
blogged about an adventure where I actually went golfing as a girl, and
in that diary entry, I talk about the sports I enjoyed when growing up.
A common thread in all of those sports is that they were non-contact
sports. I played tennis in high school, my favorite sport now is golf,
and another sport that I really enjoy playing that is often associated
with girls is volleyball. Both my wife and I love to play volleyball,
and we actually play in a co-ed league, so it's fun to associate with
guys and girls as we play. From time to time, they will also hold
tournaments in our areas just for girls, and so the girls from the teams
we play with will always play in the tournaments. I go and support their
games, and they often joke with me, "too bad you can't put on a wig and
come play with us." My wife and I always give each other a look and
smile with both of us thinking, "if only they really knew."
Anyway, I had a chance to play volleyball today with my peers, and since
it was a day when I wanted to give my face a break, I decided that I
could at least wear bra and panties underneath my shirt and shorts. Now
this first picture that I've posted, is not the exact outfit I wore. I
unfortunately didn't dare wear the suntan pantyhose or the white cotton
top that would have revealed my bra, but I did wear these girl shorts,
the girl Nike shoes, and then a long sleeved navy sports shirt on top.
The top is a thick cotton, and if you look really close, you can
probably see that I'm wearing a bra underneath, but when playing
volleyball, who is going to scan the backs of all the guys to see if any
are wearing bras? Okay, I would do that just in case, but I'm sure no
one else did.
The bra I wore today was a cotton, soft cup bra in a 38B that I bought
at Wal-Mart shortly after I was married. The cups of the bra are
seamless, and the only clasps on the bra straps are in the front near
the tops of the cups, so there's no fear of having those little bumps
show through in the back near the shoulder blades. As for my panties, I
wore my favorite teal panties from Vanity Fair that I purchased with a
matching teal bra last summer, and I was really excited to try them out
while exercising because this would be the first chance I'd get to wear
my Vanity Fair panties when working out.
The panties were perfect, and I actually hoped that they were visible
above the waist line of my shorts, especially when I went up to block,
but who knows if the players behind me caught a glimpse. As for my bra,
I doubt anyone noticed it because when you're in the heat of the battle,
you are not looking at other people's backs. I waffled today regarding
whether or not I should wear the bra as it may hamper my play, but I'm
pleased to report that it didn't. I caught myself adjusting my bra from
time to time particularly after I attempted a block or a spike, but
that's just normal for girls playing volleyball. I was thinking tonight
that I need to go out and purchase a sports bra, and so I will file that
adventure away for the future.
I got home and hopped in the shower, I noticed my bra and panties laying
there on the bathroom floor, and it hit me that I never wear matching
bra and panties. When I was young, I vividly remember walking nearby the
lingerie sections in department stores and noticing bra and panty sets
on the same hangar, and I used to fantasize that I could make the whole
world freeze for a few hours except for me so I could try on that
beautiful lingerie. It would take nearly 25 years for that dream to come
true, and while I can't make the world freeze, I can shop for bras and
panties and find chances to wear them.
Still, I noticed today that my bra and panties rarely match, and so I
began to reflect on why that is because I'm usually a stickler when it
comes to the details of my wardrobe. By the way, I thought it'd be fun
to take a picture of me deep in thought reflecting on why I never wear a
bra and panties that match, and so I'm posting that at left.
During my deep, girl thoughts, I came to the following conclusions.
